Pastor Danny Acquitted of All ChargesDA is no match for the prayers of the Saints!November 27, 2007 On the evening of September 26, 2007, a young white male, Jessie Allen, came up to Thy Kingdom Come headquarters waving his arms in the air, yelling obscenities. He opened up the church office door and a fight ensued with Pastor Danny. Both men were arrested and taken to jail. Pastor Danny came away with 2 felonies and 1 misdemeanor. The young man was released with no charges. After 2 months of prayer and fasting, the Honorable Judge Seibel came back with an acquittal for our pastor. He agreed with defense attorney Ken Hamrum that Pastor Danny was acting in self defense and in defense of his dwelling when approached by Allen. Judge Seibel instructed Pastor Barnes at the end of trial. "Pastor Barnes, when you first came to Wheaton I was very impressed with the work you do. Over the past several months there has been a lot of controversy. I strongly recommend that you get back to the work that needs to be done." We are thankful to God and the many prayers of our friends across the country!
Letter to Our Contributors Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior! As most of you know, we have been ministering in We still house, feed and clothe the needy as scripture commands us without accepting any government funding. We have relied on the Lord Jesus for our needs and He has provided our daily bread without cease. The ministry has recently purchased an old “devils den” (bar) to be renovated into a mighty temple. It needs a major facelift and the Lord has given us new direction on how to proceed. We are seeking 100 people to give $1000 per year over the next 5 years. That breaks down to $83.33 per month for 60 months. It will be a minimum commitment for some of you and an incredible stretch for others, either way, a blessing to this old building and the many souls who desperately need this ministry to stay sober and faithful to His calling. To our active members and tithers, as we go into the new season, we are trying to raise the money to complete the sanctuary and classrooms. Wherever possible, we request a full tithe for the year, please be in prayer for this. This is a ministry that still teaches discipline, full gospel, and strong biblical truths, without watering down the message to please the listener. We still feed 2 hot meals per day to the community, our sanctuary and fellowship area is open 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Please pray about this commitment. We have prayed and God has clearly told us to take this initiative. For those of you who are able to make a one time contribution of $1000 per year it would be greatly appreciated to alleviate construction debt.
